Lunch at @juliuspizzeria on a grey, rainy Brisbane day. The moody lighting and warm, slightly crowded space gave the place a comforting feel - just right for celebrating a birthday on an otherwise suboptimal day. We kept it simple: margherita and salsiccia pizzas with a glass of shiraz on the side. Both pizzas were nicely done. Good crust, clean flavours, no fuss. Nothing to write home about, but they hit the spot. Service was easygoing and efficient. Julius isn’t trying to be flashy, and that’s part of its charm. A dependable spot when you’re after something familiar, done well.
