It’s not fancy, but that’s the whole charm. @kafeniobrisbane is the kind of place where you don’t need to dress up or spend big to enjoy food that tastes like someone’s proud grandparent is still back there watching over the grill.
The grilled barramundi was properly done—flaky, smoky, and soaked up every bit of citrus and olive oil like it was made for it. But the sheftalia stole the show. Charred just right, rich and gently spiced, it was one of those bites that made the whole table go quiet for a moment.
No fuss, just warmth (even though it was freezing outside), and plates that could’ve come straight from a village kitchen. I left full and happy.
