@thelongapron is a Chef-Hatted (the Australian twist on a Michelin star) restaurant, part of @spicersclovellyestate. Led by Chef Geoff Abel, this French bistro-inspired menu focuses on sourcing fresh and local ingredients, and maintains strong relationships with local farmers. This came through very clearly in the quality of produce used for our dinner.

We dined alfresco, luckily all covered up and heated on a pretty chilly evening. But while the heaters were on, the experience still felt a little cold. Luckily, the warm baked cheese soufflé and the baked scallops spoke the right love language and set us up nicely for the fantastically cooked and presented wagyu rump and fish we had after that.

The presentation, flavours and complementing condiments were excellent.

I recommend coming here if you are up in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, but maybe ask for a seat inside the restaurant.
